Hello, my friends. I hope like me you all had a lovely Christmas Day. We had the perfect Christmas with our girls and their families. Plus, I did not have to cook for the third year running. So, there was no stress for me. And to be honest, it would be difficult to match the delicious dinner we had. I have no problem handing over that task!
December has been light on blog posts; sometimes life takes over. I had hoped to do a post on present recommendations, but ended up putting them on my Instagram stories instead.
Anyway, the ‘Style Not Age’ gang is seeing the year out with a timely ‘Sparkle and Shine’ theme!
Having very few items that sparkle and shine in my wardrobe, I borrowed a shirt and jacket from my sister Rosie. The photos were taken in The Grand Hotel in Malahide. I always feel self-conscious when posing for pics with people all around, but it had to be done as it was miserable outside.
My bag from Folkster has been seen numerous times on the blog and it always comes out for weddings and evening events. It also fits the brief perfectly. Click on the link above and check out the wonderful website or pop into one of their shops in Dublin and Kilkenny.
Below you might detect a little gold sparkle on the heels of the boots (Van Dal gifted) which are several years old and so comfortable. The older I get the more comfortable footwear matters. And, of course, you have seen my trusty Spanx leggings on many occasions over the past few years.
MY FRIENDS
ANNA
It was Anna’s turn to give the prompt this month and she certainly knows how to sparkle and shine. This was her outfit for her staff Christmas party at the local pub. You may remember that Anna runs a gallery and the photo was taken there.
Regular readers will not be surprised to learn that several items were sourced in charity shops. Pop over to ANNASISLANDSTYLE to learn more.
JACQUI
Jacqui from MUMMABSTYLISH is sparkling and shining in a fabulous top, paired with bright yellow trousers and sparkly shoes. Love the unusual combination.
EMMA
Emma is all set for Christmas and The New Year in her glittery jacket and gold boots. She has a frosty background for extra sparkle. And you can see what Emma has been doing over on THE STYLE SPLASH.
GAIL
And finally look at Gail. She is every inch The Ice Queen and has even managed to have a snowy setting to complement her outfit. She is the epitome of sparkle and shine. You can learn how she put her outfit together on IS THIS MUTTON.
Thank you for your support. Enjoy the rest of the Christmas Season and I will be back in 2023 with a spring in my step.
Love Hilda x
