It was Jacqui’s turn this month and she chose ‘Full Skirts’ as her prompt. I guess you either love them or hate them. I love the full skirt on other people, but I feel they can be tricky to style. If you are neither tall nor slim you might need to wear high heels and it is probably better to tuck in a top for balance.
I don’t own a full skirt, but I was in one of our local boutiques last week and happened to see one that fitted the bill perfectly.
Luckily, I was able to borrow it to take a few pics, but I have to admit that I am tempted to purchase. It is a versatile piece and could be styled with many different tops.
For this prompt, and because it is only a few weeks to Christmas, I chose to wear it with a sparkly Baum und Pferdgarten jumper that I bought probably about 5 or 6 years ago.
The boots are Dunnes Stores (last year) and are really only for walking car to bar, if I went to bars anymore! ‘Those days are gone’!
STYLE NOT AGE
Well, let’s see how my friends got on.
MUMMABSTYLISH
Jacqui has also selected a versatile, black, full skirt. However, she is not totally sure that she likes this style on her. But I disagree. I love her look. Check her out on mummabstylish.
ANNA’S ISLAND STYLE
Anna is her usual exuberant self in a dramatic yellow skirt. Funnily enough she is not happy with her look either. Again, I don’t know why. Pop on over to Anna at Annas Island Style.
IS THIS MUTTON
And Gail is rocking her full skirt with a gamine top. And you can find out whether Gail liked her outfit at Is This Mutton,
STYLE SPLASH
Emma’s vivid skirt is by Joanna Hope from a previous collaboration. I love the pink top with it.

FINALLY
What is the weather doing at the moment? It is so unpredictable and changeable. As a former English teacher, I was always very interested in ‘pathetic fallacy’ and maybe it is a reflection of what is going on in the world. What I do know is that we need to continue to find joy in the small things in life: a walk wherever you like to walk, a coffee with a friend, a hug from a grandchild, an engaging book or a meal out. It would be very easy to let all that is happening around us affect us negatively. I am trying, not always successfully, to stay positive.
Thank you for reading and I hope to get back to posting more regularly in the New Year, but first I need to get my mojo back.
