HOW THE SKY AND SEA INSPIRE ME
When I think of the sky, I picture the colour blue. Some fluffy white clouds float by. Another favourite would be sunset or sunrise with yellow, red and orange colours dominating. Similarly with the sea, I prefer the blues of sunny days rather than the greys of stormy ones.
I have to admit that I wanted to feature my kimono which is a few years old (from Zara) and hardly worn, so I thought it was time to bring it out of the closet. Hence the rather strange prompt to my fellow ‘Style Not Agers’.
KIMONO FEATURE
The pics were taken by the stylist daughter on her balcony overlooking the sea. The sky was blue a few minutes before and after she took the shots.
But maybe the blue kimono stood out more against the clouds. Anyway, she is pretty good with the camera, so indulge me if I post more photos than usual.
I let the kimono do the talking here. The rest of the outfit (all off-white) are years old apart from the runners (Adidas).
Now how did my friends interpret the theme of ‘Sky and Sea’.
IS THIS MUTTON
Gail looks fab in a lovely denim skirt and blue top. That amazing gold bag takes centre stage, however. I imagine it represents the sun sparkling on the sea on a lovely sunny day. Lots more to learn on her blog post at Is This Mutton.

I cannot believe that we are at the end of May and I hope the weather stays warm for the summer, so that we can enjoy socialising outdoors. Restaurants won’t be open for indoor dining until July in Ireland.

Gosh, that kimono is fabulous Hilda!! With our hotter weather in our new location, we have been wearing kimonos quite a bit!! They are an easy breezy way to cover up but not be too warm.
