Anna chose ‘Pretty in Pink’ as our Style Not Age theme this month and I struggled a little as I have very little pink in my wardrobe.
I do love this pink coat that I have had for years. Is it powder pink or blush pink, or insipid pink? The label is Bastyan and I bought it in Brown Thomas in Dublin years ago.
Paired with Carl Scarpa boots and a bag from Irish retailer Carraig Donn, I changed the belt from a white and a black to a brown leather that is over 40 years old.
However, I feel a little insipid beside my friends in their bold, dramatic and strong pinks, all of which I love. My friends are no shrinking violets. Ok wrong colour. But pink is actually a combination of red and violet, in case you didn’t know.
Let’s start with Anna from Annasislandstyle.
Anna is cavorting on the beach in a lovely pink dress paired with floral Converse boots and a pink jelly bag. Do pop over to see more on Anna’s page.
Jacqui is wearing fabulous new wide leg trousers and animal print blouse from Marks and Spencer. And are those white boots I see peeping out? Love the entire look. Find out more at Mummabstylish.
Gail is in her element as a pinkaholic and must have had a difficult time choosing from her wardrobe. Her skirt, top and short tie wrap are from Kettlewell Colours. Check her out at Isthismutton?
And Emma from The Style Splash has opted for a hot pink shade – the jacket is from Asos and trousers are from Zara. But together they look like a suit. And as always, Emma’s accessories are at another level.
My friends are PINKTASTIC and so pretty in pink.
My last post was a mixed bag of ‘All Kinds Of Everything’ but I forgot to mention a free event in which some of you might be interested. Follow the gut experts on FB or Instagram or get their free newsletter on www.thegutexperts.com for all things gut related. I hope you have all enjoyed the lovely Indian Summer and as always thank you for reading.
