All Buttoned Up with ‘Style Not Age’

Gail chose ‘Buttoned Up’ as our February ‘Style Not Age’ challenge.  I was at a loss initially, but then found this cute Zara jacket at the back of the wardrobe. I can’t remember when I bought it, but I definitely have not worn it much.

Now I know I will wear it more often, but not as a jacket. It will be worn as a top as in the photos below. In other words, I won’t be wearing anything under it! Am I daring to show a little skin in the pic below? Yes I am!

I put it with my ‘old’ Next jeans and M&S boots.  I did a very early blog post about jeans which if you click on the highlighted Next you can read.The earrings were a present from GG years ago and I think he may have got the stylist daughter’s help.

GAIL

Gail shopped her wardrobe for the challenge.  I love the outfit and the added detail of buttons on the shoulder of her River Island jumper.  Nice pop of colour too.Pop over to Is This Mutton to find out more.

Anna went above and beyond for the challenge. She bought the Jaeger top for a fiver and then worked her magic on it. Look at those buttons and the wonderful applique on the sleeve. There is a story behind it. Check out her blog on Anna’s Island Style to see what she did.

JACQUI

And for something different, Jacqui went for buttons on her trousers. Now I have a fab pair of wide trousers I could have used which have buttons on the side too. But I did not think outside the box. See what Jacqui has been doing on Mummabstylish.

EMMA

How cute is Emma’s shirt. Did you notice it has a button print? Double whammy. Love that pink suit too with those canary yellow boots.You can find Emma on The Style Splash.
