Well, we have had some turbulent weather recently with Storm Eowyn causing havoc in both Ireland and Great Britain. Ireland was basically shutdown. Schools, creches, shops remained closed and there was no public transport. Unless absolutely necessary, we were advised not to go out. We were lucky in Malahide even though we are beside the sea. I did think the roof might come off at one stage and was awake from early morning.
We have had a cool, but bright January and that is my favourite weather. Bright blue skies always give me a lift and I don’t mind the cold. I believe that there is more cold weather on the way. So we have several more months of wearing our winter woollies. Yes, that suits me fine.
Anna chose winter woollies for our January prompt. While tidying out one of the wardrobes (I have commandeered all of those in the other rooms too), I found a long (maxi) cardigan that I have had for well over thirty years.
Check out the panels of loose knitting that look like crochet.
Do any of you remember the label Another Woman? I actually cannot remember where I bought it, but I think it was probably in a boutique.
I went for a ’70s look and paired it with my wide-legged Cos jeans from last year and shopped my wardrobe for the rest.
ANNA’S ISLAND STYLE
Anna looks cosy in her pink ensemble. As winter woollies go, this jumper is perfect. Cosy and with a lovely pattern, it has certainLy brightened up my day. If you pop over to Anna’s Island Style, you can learn more.
MUMMABSTYLISH
Jacqui is in more muted tones, but what a lovely winter woolly. Want to find out where she got it? Then you need to check out Mummabstylish.
STYLE SPLASH
Emma is wearing a fun winter woolly with strawberries. So she is definitely thinking of warmer weather. And yes, you can check out her outfit on The Style Splash.
So January is nearly over and I honestly can not believe it. The days are not long enough. Do you feel the same or is it just me?
Spring is on the way. The storms must be nearly over!
Thanks for reading. I have lots of interesting posts on life, health and beauty treatments on the way.
Hilda
I love your long cardigan and wide leg jeans! I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s taken over all the wardrobes in the house!
