I have been lucky enough to be able to try out some incredible treatments over the years. And I have put my trust in a variety of wonderful therapists, nurses and aestheticians. I heartily recommend all of those I have written about.
SOUTH WILLIAM CLINIC
In 2024, I started my journey with Clinical Director of South William Clinic, Nurse Aisling Cleary. Aisling listened to my concerns and we made a PLAN.
I know that at 68 I am not going to look like I am 58. But I want to look as good as I can for my age. Each to their own. No judgement, please.
In June, I had a very gentle introduction with a hydrafacial at their Clontarf Clinic. I highly recommend it.
If you are looking for something that will give you an immediate result then this is for you. They talk about ‘The Glow’ and I could see it for days afterwards. Plus my skin looked incredibly clean and make-up glided on easily.
And in July, I went to Aisling for a CO2 laser treatment. Now this is not for the faint-hearted but the results were excellent.
You can read all about it HERE and see before and after pics.
I have just had ULTHERAPY with Aisling a month ago. I previously had ultherapy in 2019 and saw a huge difference. Then Covid hit, but I looked good on zoom calls! I think it probably slowed down the effects of gravity for about two years.
So, six years later (older) when I was offered it by South William Clinic, I jumped at the chance. Aisling concentrated on my neck and lower jaw.
Already I can see a slight tightening on the jaw line and the large lines and creases on the neck look less obvious. She also gave my eyebrows a lift and I saw the results immediately (below).
You can see more on my Instagram and Facebook stories. Aisling explains about how Ultherapy works.
FUTURE BEAUTY AND HEALTH
March 1st and 2nd sees the return of the amazing Future Beauty and Health Show in the RDS. Over the weekend, over 70 leading Irish and international medical experts (consultants, aestheticians, dermatologists), scientists and thought leaders will discuss, debate and demonstrate the best ways and latest research to help you age smarter both inside and out. There are three live stages: The Main Stage; The Health Optimisation Stage and The Demo Stage, where you get to see some live treatments.
I am definitely going to listen to Tom Coleman, biohacker and sleep expert on the Saturday. And Dr Hugh O’Connor (Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist) will be discussing the latest non-invasive treatments for vaginal atrophy and loss of libido among other topics.
You can get a flavour of what is on by checking out www.futurebeauty.com
Also running alongside is The Future Fertility Show where aspiring parents can talk to Irish and International experts and learn about all the latest fertility testing, how to optimise IVF success, surrogacy and much more.
FINALLY…
You can learn more about Ultherapy and other treatments at The Future Beauty Show where South William Clinic will be one of many clinics and salons available to answer your questions and concerns. I will be running a competition on Facebook and on Instagram soon for free pairs of tickets to the shows. So keep an eye out.
Thanks for reading and please share if you know anyone interested in the shows for the first weekend in March.
