Hello my friends.
Well, there is plenty of evidence that we are experiencing global warming in the recent months. In Ireland, we had a heatwave in early May and wondered if that was our summer. Then we had some good weather in early June and now we have hot weather again.
I chose this week’s theme of ‘dress for the heat’. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in a very hot Sicily with Travel Department. So I have the perfect hot-weather dress to share with you. I bought it in Penneys (Primark outside Ireland) and I am delighted with it. It is loose and therefore cool, plus it has pockets. Years ago, a certain airline lost my case packed with new clothes (never found) and I swore I would never pack anything too expensive ever again.
The sunnies are from Other Stories and mules are Clarks Shoes.
STYLE NOT AGE
And here are my friends with their ‘dress for the heat’ outfits:
Jacqui is wearing old white shorts from Matalan, white camo top from Primark, over shirt from Salamander Shirts, basket bag and chunky sandals from Lotus Shoes. Check out Mummabstylish.
Anna’s dress is by ME+ EM and she bought it in a charity shop for five pounds. Her swimsuit and necklace are both from Vinted and sunglasses are by Quay Australia one of my own favourite brands. Checkout Anna’s Island Style.
Emma is wearing a leopard print beach cover-up from Miss Tunica and the bag is Seafolly. Her sunhat is Oliver Bonas and I love the gold FitFlops. Checkout out Style Splash.
Ok, so June is nearly over. We have passed the mid-point of summer and the days are getting shorter. Can you believe it? But hope you can dress for the heat and look cool and stay cool.
FINALLY
Thank you for reading, my friends. I hope that wherever you are you are enjoying these sunny days.
Love Hilda xx
