‘Style Not Age’ Showcases The Shirt Dress

The Shirt Dress is not normally on my radar when I go shopping. I have had too many that gape at the bust or the tummy, particularly if I am carrying a few extra pounds. However, I did fall in love with this silk dress in the sale at Arnotts Dublin. It is from Weekend Max Mara and the unusual print caught my eye, as I rummaged through the sale rail. And so I had to try it on. Lo and behold there were no gaping buttons. So with 75% off, I had to have it.

Conveniently, Emma had chosen The Shirt Dress as her theme for August’s ‘Style Not Age’ challenge so here is its first outing. I decided to wear it open as a kimono for the occasion. You will get another pic when I wear it as a dress. GG and I wandered down the road to the public toilets on the Coast Road Malahide to take the shots!

As you can see, it was quite windy and difficult to get a good photo.

I failed to get a post up last month as we were in Canada, clearing out my brother-in-law’s rented apartment. It was, and continues to be, a nightmare as he had not left a will. Those of you who follow me on Instagram and FB may have already seen my post about it. However, I am also aware that many of my email subscribers are not on social media. My message was ‘Make a will and do not leave a dreadful mess for your loved ones to clear up’.

September is here and I love Autumn.
