Hello, my friends. Well it has been an amazingly warm September and I must admit that am still wearing my summer clothes. However, I do bring a jacket or cardigan with me if I am heading out, just in case!
Anna has selected Transitional Dressing as our theme this month. So, I am sharing a version of a look that I wore on a number of occasions this summer. But the jeans are new from Mint Velvet and the jacket is from Zara. My other cream/off-white jeans are a little tight! I have to show you the back of the jacket first as that was what caught my eye originally.

I wore a black tee with off-white jeans often, but doesn’t the jacket give it a totally different vibe. Boots will be added as the weather gets colder. I took all the photos a few days ago while GG and I had a night away at Killeavy Castle Estate in County Armagh and I highly recommend it if you want excellent food, beautiful scenery and a relaxing spa.

Below is the summer version. My bag is Mint Velvet bought in Kildare Village last year.

‘STYLE NOT AGE’ FRIENDS
Now check out my friends from ‘Style Not Age’.
Anna claims she does not like Transitional Dressing, but here she has moved gradually into Autumn with long sleeves and a heavier material to give a little extra warmth. And I love the boots. Time to get mine down from the attic. You can find out more over on Anna’s Island Style.

Emma has given us a cosy cardigan and lovely leopard-print jeans for her take on Transitional Dressing. All ready for the cooler days ahead. Pop over to The Style Splash to learn more.

Jacqui is wearing balloon trousers and a top. I imagine she will add a jacket for the cooler weather. And I think the footwear will probably change too! But, you will have to check that out over on Mummabstylish

The leaves on the trees are changing colour. Temperatures are dropping. Autumn is here.
Thanks for reading.

Your outfit is stunning Hilda 🌺🌸 are they the barrel or wide leg jeans?
I’m 71 and at 5’4” I struggle with the barrel/wide jeans & trousers they make me look huge.
But then shopping for jeans is always a struggle
But you have captured the transitional theme beautifully- we have been so blessed with the weather this September 💕
Hi Mary. Thank you so much for commenting. The jeans are Mint Velvet and barrel-legged, but I turned them up at the hem as you can see to make them shorter. A turn up seems to be all the rage now. I could of course cut them and hem either. I think these need to show the ankle. I find Cos barrel-legs excellent too. In fact most of my jeans are from Cos and the price point is good. It is a matter of trying on all of them though…. particularly jeans x
The jacket is gorgeous! It looks fab with the off white trousers and leopard print shoes!
