Our Style Not Age ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ prompt for May comes from Emma (Style Splash) and gave us plenty of scope. If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know that I am addicted to animal print.

The leopard, cheetah, tiger and even zebra prints are prominent in my wardrobe. No one was happier than I was when they came back into fashion a few years ago. There is a bit of Jungle Jane in me, I suspect.

GG with his Covoid 19 beard and longer locks is looking more like an older Tarzan every day too, or Captain Birdseye as one ‘former’ friend  commented!

Anyway, for this challenge, I decided to forego the animal print. Instead, I borrowed a Hayley Menzies long cardigan/coat from the stylist daughter. Courtney is a huge fan of the British designer, who has been making a name for herself in recent years. Her fabrics are exquisite and her designs expressive, spontaneous and a little wild. Perfect for the discerning woman who wants something that is different and has lasting appeal. The merino wool tigress cardigan below is certainly a show-stopper.

You can check out Hayley’s website and see the wonderful designs HERE.

We have been having incredible weather, but it is always cooler in the evenings and a long cardigan is essential in our climate for any and every season.

I wore an old red top from Dunnes Stores and a pair of Spanx, which you can barely see underneath. The Spanx are new (Brown Thomas) and deserve another entire post on their own, because I have never worn anything more flattering and comfortable in my life. So, watch this space, as they say. The boots are ancient.

My friends from ‘Style Not Age’ took to this challenge like ducks to water!

I am envious of Emma’s fabulous Scotch and Soda suit below.  And check out her necklace and top too. I think my outfit is quite tame now. You can follow Emma and find out more on her blog The Style Splash.

Like me, Jacqui also borrowed from her daughter.  She opted for a leopard print jumpsuit and a fabulous scarf. Head over to Mummabstylish for all the details.

Gail is prowling around her lovely garden in a palm print jumpsuit, paired with lime green accessories. You can see more on her blog isthismutton

Jungle look

And Anna is truly camouflaged in the jungle with her fabulous outfit. Jump over to annasislandstyle to see her out in the open and get all the deets on her two piece.  Anna lives on The Scilly Isles and we usually see her in her more natural habitat of the sea.

So despite lockdown, we managed to complete another fun challenge. It may be a jungle out there, but we are all in it together. Stay safe my friends.
