Two of The Best Hydrating, Softening, Healing Body Creams

I have recently been sent the best hydrating, softening, healing  body creams  for sensitive skin. Ultrapure gifted me some of their newest SENSITIVE range Body Lotion and  Cooling Menthol Body Cream (and also face serum and creams) to try. I am not reviewing the face creams in this post. As regular readers know, I only recommend products that work for me, always aware that they might not suit others. But I am delighted with these. Read on and discover why.

Ultrapure is one of Ireland’s recent biggest success stories. A family business based in Mayo in the West of Ireland, the company is committed to delivering the purest skincare products to enhance and protect our skin at reasonable prices.

‘We are continually refining our processes to ensure the power and purity of our carefully selected range. We choose the purest of ingredients, scientifically proven to deliver real, lasting skincare benefits. We are passionate about what we do; testing and re-testing our products to deliver purity that does not cost the earth’.

I am a huge fan of Ultrapure products and am never without their EPSOM  SALTS, which until the recent water shortage was added to the bath whenever I needed to soothe aching muscles.

It can also be added to their OLIVE OIL and a drop of an essential oil to make an invigorating body scrub.

I love their ROSEWATER and you can find a review I wrote on it a year ago or so HERE.

I am never without it now and recently, during the heatwave, I transferred some to a spray bottle and used it as a facial spritz.

Back to Ultrapure and their newest SENSITIVE range and my review of their BODY LOTION and COOLING MENTHOL BODY CREAM.

This range contains no perfumes, parabens or irritants and was specially formulated for sensitive skins prone to eczema and psoriasis.

BODY LOTION

Luckily, I have no such issues, but I absolutely love their body lotion which is really light and absorbs quickly into the skin. Indeed, I don’t think I have had anything quite as hydrating apart from coconut oil. And lo and behold coconut oil is one of its main ingredients.

One day, my daughter was complaining of very sore hands and I gave her the lotion to try. Here is her review:

“Since having my son almost 2 years ago, I’ve had constant problems with dry hands….something I had never suffered from before.  It is quite common among new mothers, who have to constantly wash their hands.

Sometimes my hands would get so bad they would be chapped and cut and very painful. I tried every type of hand cream that was suggested. I was even given a steroid cream by the GP which helped a lot, but nothing cured it completely.

My mum gave me some Ultrapure lotion to try and a week of using it has brought my hands back to what they used to be like pre-baby. They are no longer dry and sore. My favourite part is the way the cream absorbs so quickly and doesn’t leave your hands sticky for ages. I would definitely recommend it.”

COOLING MENTHOL BODY CREAM

Also from the Sensitive range, this cream was perfect for my legs and ankles which have been swollen and painful recently.  (That is another blog post!)

The menthol has a cooling effect and the cream is richer and even more hydrating than the lotion, but not sticky. It just takes a little longer to dry in and similarly to the lotion, it is best to massage it into damp skin immediately after a shower or bath.

My daughter also loves this and finds it also helps her hands. Of course, she also has taken to using on her body and, like me, has found it wonderfully hydrating. The light fragrance is also very pleasant.

SUMMARY

Yes, it can be used on any skin…I love it.

Yes, my daughter’s hands are back to normal.

It is not expensive;  (€11 99)if you have sensitive skin, or eczema or psoriasis, I would think it is worth trying.

The ingredients are natural and include such delights as Rosehip Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Marshmallow Extract, Chamomile Extract, Calendula Extract and Sunflower Oil,

It has been dermatologically tested and is hypoallergenic

So there you have it. It is a thumbs up in a big way for ULTRAPURE and its newest Sensitive Range.

I have yet to try the serum and face creams that they sent me, but I think I have found the perfect candidate for them, so more on them in the future.

Now I need to go out and buy more of the BODY LOTION and MENTHOL BODY CREAM as my daughter has acquired mine! They are stocked in various pharmacies around the country and some Boots Stores. Luckily they will  not break the bank. I would love to know if you find them as good as I do.

That’s a good idea, decanting into a spray. I also like the idea of creams that aren’t tacky after use xx
