It is Stylish Monday time again and I am joining with my fellow bloggers in showcasing green. Green is one of my favourite colours and yet I have so little of it in my wardrobe.
I am featuring one of my kimonos on the blog today. Actually, it is my daughter’s and I used to borrow it when she lived at home. I did not have time to get a new photo taken, so this one is recycled. Well, recycling is in. Right?
I cannot believe it is September already. August was a busy month but mostly spent waiting for our second grandchild to arrive. Even Logan (the firstborn) was asking how many more sleeps until ‘my baby’ comes.
Eventually nine days late, Cole made his appearance and stole our hearts just like his big brother. Logan (so far) is besotted and attentive and cannot wait until Cole is big enough to play. So now I am NANA and Graham is PAPA to two little boys. I did write about becoming a grandmother for the first time three years ago.
Back to the colour green and it is good to concentrate on clothes and fashion for a while. I am looking forward to buying a few key pieces this autumn. I need new boots and would like a new coat, but have not quite decided what exactly it is that I want.
Olive green is one of the PANTONE COLOURS of this autumn 2019 and so we should see a lot of it in the shops now, but I have not been shopping yet so I am no help to you. As you can see, I am a little out of step with most of my stylish sisters, but maybe they can inspire you:
Suzanne of asksuzannebell is showing off her casual holiday style below. She lives a busy life as a realtor with her husband Rick and often shares videos of the amazing properties they have on their books in LA. It would make you green with envy. She is also a stylist and wardrobe consultant.
Nicole, founder of and blogger at High Latitude Style, is author of ‘How to Dress for Success in Midlife’. Living in Alaska and a full-time scientist, her posts give an insight into life there as well as wonderful fashion tips.
Robin is a hugely successful interior designer who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. This lady hosts amazing parties and also finds time to blog. She plays golf too, so someday we might play eighteen holes together. Follow her at Hello I’m 50ish.
Julie from Fashion Trends and Friends is one of the most positive people in ‘bloggerland’. You need to watch her vlogs with her friend Lori where they review beauty products. They make a wonderfully funny double-act. Oh and she has also had a dramatic weight-loss journey you might be interested in checking out.
Michele is a seasoned thrift shopper from New Jersey and I’m always amazed at the wonderful bargains she finds. You can find her on instagram.
Emma of Style Splash (you may recognise from my Style Not Age collaborations) steps out in a faux suede olive green jacket. Emma is an animal rights campaigner also.
Cynthia goes all-out olive green in her top and skirt ensemble. Cindy is a Human Resources manager and a part-time model. Follow her on instagram @CindyScurry
So another collaboration with my Stylish Monday Sisters is over. Do check them out here.

and keep an eye open for olive green this autumn. It should be everywhere according to Pantone….
I love your photo! It’s so beautiful in that garden. And yes, you are very trendy with pre loved clothing! Lol.
Congratulations on your new grandson!
You look amazing I. Your kimono is beautiful!
And yes, it’s refreshing to see recycling of outfits that show we are not wearing something new everyday.
Because, in reality we are building a working, fashionable wardrobe.
