July Jackets, chosen by Jacqui, makes for a good alliterative opening to this month’s ‘Style Not Age’ prompt. Is it because I am in my mid-sixties that I feel that time is flying by? Or is it because it feels we are stuck on PAUSE at the moment, waiting for life to get back to completely normal? In Ireland, indoor dining with huge restrictions resumes today and overseas travel is possible with Covid Vaccine Passports or PCR tests.
Anyway, July is nearly over and we are donning jackets! Jacqui was very kind this month and I had several options I could have chosen.
This statement jacket is from a new boutique in Malahide, Studio 124, run by a lovely Italian lady Francesca. Everything is imported from her home country. She has some really unusual pieces and I just fell in love with this jacket.
Here I am wearing it with my very old Diesel jeans; you have seen them before. The pretty white top is from another boutique Neola in Malahide and is a few years old. Mules are Clarks and are comfy, but not for walking miles. Top it all off with a statement jacket and I am good to go. Oh and the sunnies are from F&F at Tesco.
The pics are taken by GG in my daughter’s back garden and Lexi, their much-loved pooch, makes an appearance. I changed my top for a few shots. This pretty brown silky number is also from Studio 124.
I think the different top completely changes the look and I probably prefer the brown on me.
Anna is showcasing a lovely view across the bay as well as a bright green Benetton jeans jacket which is an old favourite. The white crops are charity shopped and the tee is gifted by Tresco Island. You need to check out annasislandstyle to find out more. Tresco is one of the islands off the coast of Cornwall, by the way. I need to visit Cornwall and some of the islands. I want Anna to take me to some of her charity shops.
I love Emma’s lovely jacket from Pom Amsterdm but those wide-legged trousers also caught my eye. Accessories always play a major role in Emma’s outfits too and those earrings are fun. You can find out where she got them on Style Splash.
And last but not least we have Jacqui from Mummabstylish who is wearing a new linen jacket from Bonmarche.
